Right now Wisot runs on Android 8.0+. iOS needs a different architecture — system-level audio capture is heavily restricted on iOS. When the iOS beta is ready — you'll hear from us first.
Why only Android for now
System-level audio capture
On Android we can listen to any app's audio without integrations. iOS doesn't grant that permission — it needs a different approach.
On-device recognition
Whisper model runs locally — faster and more private than the cloud. Model is ~163 MB; iOS app memory limits require reengineering.
Floating dialogue layer
The floating W button over any app is trivial on Android. iOS needs a different pattern. We're working on it.
