04 · What you getNoteas a deliverable

After the session — a ready note. With formulas, concepts and examples.

Wisot collects the session into a structured note: key concepts, LaTeX formulas, examples, your answers. Come back a week later — the material rebuilds in 2 minutes.

07 · Science3 effectsof active recall

Active recall is the most effective learning strategy.

The pause-and-engage method rests on decades of cognitive psychology research. Every product decision is grounded in an established scientific principle.

Testing effect
80%
Students who quizzed themselves remembered 80% of material a week later — vs 36% for those who re-read.

Active retrieval strengthens memory more than passive re-reading.

09 · PrivacyYes · and nono legal fog

What we do — and don't do — with your sound

No legal fog. Audio is processed locally. Only what you've manually confirmed gets saved.

What we do
Recognize speech on-device

The speech-recognition model runs locally, no internet.

Ask permission before each session

Mic stays silent until you tap 'start'.

Save only what you confirmed

The note goes to the cloud with one tap — yours.

What we don't
We don't store raw audio

The audio stream exists only during processing.

We don't show ads

No trackers, no partner SDKs.

We don't train models on your data

Your sessions are yours. Period.

Like Wisot itself — short, direct answers. Click a question to see the answer.

Does it work offline?
Speech recognition — yes, on-device. Question generation currently needs internet, local model in progress.
Will it drain my battery?
An hour of session — about an hour of phone call. Local processing is cheaper than streaming to cloud.
Do you use my audio for training?
No. Never. Not raw audio, not notes. Details — in the privacy section above.
What about a foreign language?
Russian and English — primary. French, German, Spanish — in beta.
How much does it cost?
Beta — free. After launch: Starter ~$5/mo (15 hrs), Active ~$10/mo (60 hrs), Mastery ~$25/mo (unlimited).
Is it for students or adults?
For everyone who learns — from senior students to professionals. Per our terms, Wisot is for ages 14 and up.
Is there a desktop version?
Yes — wisot.app/learn runs in the browser (Chrome or Edge on desktop): live transcript, questions and a PDF note. Russian-first today, English on the way.
